Richarlison misses the season opener

The striker of the English Premier League’s Tottenham, Brazilian Richarlison (25), was suspended for one game because last season, while he was a member of Everton, he threw a smoke bomb into the stands during a goal celebration.

The Brazilian scored the winning goal for Everton against Chelsea at the beginning of May. Fans threw various objects onto the pitch, including a smoke bomb. Richarlison picked it up, waved it, then threw it into the stands.

The Brazilian forward was suspended for one match and additionally fined £25,000.

On July 1, Richarlison moved from Everton to Tottenham for a fee of 50 million pounds. He spent four years at Everton and scored 53 goals in 152 games.

The suspension will see him miss the season opener against Southampton on August 6. Despite him not playing, Spurs are heavy betting favorites.
